This course is an introduction to joint information efforts for public health information officers new to the process. There are practice activities/exercises throughout the lessons that involve application-level learning. These practice activities/exercises will provide you with an opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills presented in these lessons. Feedback and evaluation measures are provided. The origin, purposes, and implementation of Joint Information Centers are portrayed. 

The three lessons in this course are:

  1. Defining the Joint Information Center
  2. Getting Information to the Public
  3. Staffing and Organizational Structure
